08. Vertical Uprights - Dashboard

The vertical uprights at the dashboard area are specially designed for this custom chassis. The top of the uprights were cut to fit a 1" round tube at an angle of 6 degrees. The upright is also positioned off-square so that the outer face is flush with the side wall of the custom cockpit area.
	A corner clamp and a small piece of 1" tubing help determine the proper alignment. Tack welding the upper portion of the upright to the top rail was a challenge because the fishmounth cutaway does not provide much surface area to mate with the top rail. An arbitrarily placed vertical spacer (to the right of the upright) ensures the correct height for the upper rail and is not part of the final assembly.
